Our History

Founded in 1984 as Re-mastering and Archival, the business repaired and re-mastered Hollywood movies onto video. With the highly technical processes to ensure the highest quality of the new version of the movies on video, Re-mastering and Archival was well positioned to be a trail blazer in the transition to digital versions of movies and in 1995 renamed to Digital Video Mastering (DVM).

Soon after, DVM was invited to be part of a global team of companies to try to find a way to author theatrical movie masters to be able to be stored on a disc like a CD for music.

DVM can also boast a string of world 'firsts'. These include the creation of the world's first operational DVD disc, which was demonstrated at the DVD international launch in Singapore on October 26,1996, having been edited and mastered by DVM; the world's first PAL DVD disc for commercial distribution; the world's first PAL DVD1O authored disc (double sided, pan-scan and wide-screen versions); and the world's first dual standard DVD discs (DVD10, Side 'A' NTSC, Side 'B' PAL).

DVM was successful in authoring the first master for a DVD ROM in the world. DVM was the first DVD Authoring facility in the Southern Hemisphere, and remains the only in the Southern Hemisphere.

The company “Streaming Pty Ltd” (Streaming), which has combined with MyLiveTV to create Digital Media Technologies was the last incarnation of this long standing business.

The Owner of MyLiveTV internationally, which was founded in 2007 in the USA, has decided to licence his Australian business to and have his Asis-Pacific Regional Headquarters managed by Digital Media Technologies, to become an industry leader in this fast growing digital space.
